With very few exceptions, I anchor my ClickZ column, as well as this column, to trends and topics, not people. But today I set aside my column inches to a friend, Norm LeHoullier, who's served as great mentor and advisor to me on so many fronts related to online strategy, digital marketing, and of course consumer-generated media. Norm just retired from Grey Interactive, the first interactive unit established by a "Big Ten" agency, where he led key noteable work with the likes of Dell Computer, P&G, M&M Mars, Slimfast, and many others. Norm was also a very early believer and supporter of PlanetFeedback.com, a business model I established after leaving P&G which represented my first real introduction -- dare I say "initiation" -- to consumer-generated media. Now, to be clear, Norm's not really retiring -- I intend to continue leaning on him for advise, counsel, brainstorming, and more -- but he's leaving a formal position he's held since since 1993. And of course his passion for understanding the strategic nexus of marketing and technology goes back to the late seventies. Anyway, more background here. Thanks, Dude!
Hi Pete,
Do you know where Norman went? I haven't spoken to him in a while, but would be happy to re-connect.
