well i didn't read the article but the obvious conclusions relate to trust and time. people don't trust ads, and they don't like being interrupted. they do, however, want product info (in a nice package, from a source with no hidden agendas) and they want it when they want it--opt-in. this is what marketing/advertising needs to figure out and deal with, and it's why WOM is a long term strategy--if you want the sources with no hidden agendas to talk about you, you better be good consistently.
