In our Blogs 101 Webinar, we talk about how many companies are beginning to create their own blogs as an employee advocacy tool. There are numerous examples, but the best one I think is Microsoft's Channel 9, which truly captures the informal, free-flowing nature of a great blog. What's remarkable about this corporate endeavor is the extent to which employees are encouraged to communicate externally. Note, for instance, the extensive use of video clips, which often serve as an informal "help desk." How often do you feel disconnected when you are calling a help desk. Here's one guy, Kang Su Gatlin, talking about the challenges for Visual C++ programmers. Yes, although this webinar is for marketers, let me assure you there's an audience for this type of stuff.
