This site is a resource for our webinar participants -- our next one is this Wednesday, September 15th-- to continue the exploratory about blogs, one of the fastest growing forms of consumer generated content on the web. At Intelliseek, we call this "Consumer-Generated Media" (CGM). There is much to learn about blogs -- far more than we'll EVER cover in our "Blogs 101" webinar, so we hope this blog -- yes, we practice what we preach -- helps your ongoing education. For your convenience, we have included links to most of the key blogs we referenced in the webinar. Also please note the "quick links on the left" related to BlogPulse, our public blog portal. We encourage you to contact us directly if you have any questions, or would like to understand how you can put blog analytics to work for your business.
Thank you for the great webinar on blogs. Will the presentation be online on your blog?
In your presentation, I learned about BlogPulse. I tried the Showcase to look at some trends and I find it very powerful. Surprisingly, I noticed that the search engine doesn't look at many blogs (such as corporate blogs installed on corporate servers running with Movable Type). Most of the results seems to come from LiveJournal or Blogger.
I personnaly have two blogs (one on my server and one with Blogger) and the only one that is shown in BlogPulse results is the one running with Blogger.
What is the explanation for this?

Rémy -- As I mentioned in my recent post (http://notetaker.typepad.com/blogwebinar/2004/08/a_note_on_blog_.html), BlogPulse is aware of 4-5 Million blogs, and they are not just restricted to those found on blog hosting sites like LiveJournal or Blogger.
Broadly speaking, there are two ways in which we continuously grow our blog coverage: a) through automated blog discovery processes and b) through submissions from bloggers or blog readers.
On BlogPulse.com, you can submit your own blog(s) or those that you read at: http://blogpulse.com/submit.html
I hope this answers your question!
