Super Bowl of Classical Music - Sunday (2/6)

Big news for this coming Super Bowl Sunday, February 6th.  We'll be kicking off a classical music series with the just-named "Mt Adams String Trio," featuring celloist Beth Marshall, violinist Joshua Ulrich, and viola player Dorthy White.  (I just stumbled re: trying to spell the voila equivalent of voilinist.)  Anyway,  these supeb CCM students will be playing from 10:30 AM - 1 PM, and it's sure to be a huge treat for all of us.  Oh, and did I forget to say that we're introducing to our menu -- in honor of the occasion - Quiche! 

Hilltop "Antiquing"

Well, I must say, some cool stuff is beginning to make its way into the coffee shop: old photos, post cards, an offer to donate furniture, and more. Erika just nabbed a dozen excellent old pre-1920 postcards on eBay featuring Eden Park and Mt. Adams, and I just licensed from the Cincinnati Public Library a bunch of wonderful images for the coffee house. Along the way, we just put up a new bulletin board in the back of the coffee shop which so far appears to be getting decent usage (and eyeballs). More to come. Much more to come.

Feedback Rolls In..Thanks - Keep it Coming

So far nearly 100 folks have cast votes for their favorite photos. A few clear winners are starting to emerge but we'll keep the ballot box open for another week. We've also received some encouraging feedback from folks who responded to our Mt. Adams Newsletter article. On other fronts, we added some wonderul new speakers to the coffee house, thanks to some excellent help from Ted McConnell.
