Looking for the Right Home!

112_1286_2 Welcome to InclineModel.com! This website is managed by Pete Blackshaw, proud resident of Mt. Adams, and owner of the Mt. Adams Incline Model.  I am interested in finding a temporary or permanent home for this magnificent piece of Mt. Adams history.   The model is a true "scale" model of the original Mt. Adams Incline and is approximately 3' by 12' feet.  My most important criteria is that it find a place or home where it can be seen and appreciated by others.   Read on for more details, and please contact me at blackshaw@gmail.com or 513-608-8913 for more information.

About The Original Creator

Bestview_1 The Mt Adams Incline is the output of incredible work and passion of Covington resident Leo Knoll and his son Mark.  The worked on the model for nearly 15 years from 1979 to 1989.   Both are avid model railroaders, and the have a host of national prizes to their name for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail in their model development.   What impressed me most about their model is their passion for getting it right.  I'm talking everything.  The grade, the exact building, even the incredible station house at the top.  Leo shared with me files and files of documents and photos he referenced as part of his work, and I was astonished at his attention to detail.  He even wrote to the Smithsonian for background on the Incline.
