And now for a long-overdue word about breastmilk. According to Dr. Nofziger, both Liam and Leila are on track to boost their IQ scores by upwards of 15 points because of breastmilk. We're not sure if that's 100% true, but we're nonetheless firmly bought into the "breastmilk beats formula" school of thought. Consequently, every couple hours (yes, I'm not kidding), heroic mother Erika flips the switch to our industrial strength hospital-loaned breast pump which looks something like this contraption in the photo. Erika's becoming a bit of a machine, cranking out upwards of 64 fluif ounces of breast milk a day, which means she's flipping the switch about ten times a day. We've got a set up in the main baby room as well as on the third floor (which keeps a semplance of privacy). A word on formula: we're not against formula, and we periodically use it as a supplement to breast milk. Enfamil's our choice on this front.
