Dos Bebes Entertain One Another

It's pretty amazing watching these two little ones grow.  They are suddenly becoming more conscious of one another, and even started to act like real friends.  This morning Erika and I caught them playing with one another (cracking jokes or some baby-like equivalent act) in the two cribs.  Pretty amazing. Also relieves a bit of the burden on us to make them smile all the time.  Then again, that's hardly a burden.

Dos Bebes See Niagara Falls

Dos bebes and los padres had an amazing morning today at one of the great wonders of the world -- Niagara Falls. We took a quick detour to the falls after spending the night at Uncle Tom and Aunt Mary Hartnett's beautiful home in Buffalo. All of this was part of our two day trip back to Cincinnati from the Adirondacks.

One of the greatest joys to date with Dos Bebes came this morning when Liam actually "laughed"...right smack in front of Mommie and Daddy.   This video hardly does justice to that remarkable milestone but there's no question that both Liam and Leila are making major headway on the smile and laugh department.

God Bless the Pacifiers

God bless the pacifiers...or what's now known as the Benke.   "Where's the Benke" is becoming one of the clarion cries of a new parent.   It's not that Liam and Leila cry alot, but when they do, the Benke starts to take on heroic qualities.   Trust me!   That's not to suggest we don't feel guity as heck putting the pacifier in their mouth.  It's worse that stiffling free speech.  It's like total suppression of one's natural voice.
